DHC-2 Beaver #274, c/s C-GHCT, Lake Lovelywater, BC, 1981 09 16. The debate on whether it was an accident or a foregone conclusion is best left to the experts, arm-chair or otherwise. In a different forum. That being said, as there were no serious casualties, the footage of the incident was incorporated into the movie "Mother Lode ...

Videographer not known: This is a video of the deHavilland beaver plane crash at Lake Hood in Anchorage AK, on June 7, 2009. The wind kicked up and sent the Beaver taking off right at the videographer. The wing was less than 5 feet over his head, and the radial engine was less than 8 feet to the left of the videographer. The Slow motion at the end gives a little better look at how close it was. Everyone onboard was in pristine condition, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. For those wondering what camcorder I use it is a Canon VIXIA HF20
