AirlineTV.net cameraman Henry Tenby filmed the departure of the Airbus A380 from R08R at Vancouver International Airport at 1030 am on October 17, 2007. The conditions were terrible. Low cloud base and light rain. The Airbus arrived from Bogota the evening of October 16, 2007 at 2000, and departed back to home base in France. Please excuse my cursing at the end of the clip as a panel van obstructs the view of the Airbus rotating. A real pain the back side.

Order this DVD here: http://henrytenby.com/DVDs/Lingusdvd.html The Aer Lingus promo film "Shamrocks Sky High" played in Irish cinemas along with "The Graduate" to promote the airline’s dedicated and highly trained staff, latest aircraft (Boeing 707s, BAC One Elevens and new 737s), first class maintenance and crew training facilities, cutting edge computer reservation systems, and the development of the Irish travel industry in the go-go days of the booming jet age. This film features plenty of wonderful aircraft footage filmed from Dublin’s packed observation decks, airside, as well as inflight and onboard, and a fair number of lucky Aer Lingus employees appear in the film, which truly counts as an airline history classic to be watched over and over again.

Videographers Henry Tenby and Anthony Hickey from AirlineHobby.com DVDs visited Honeywell's Boeing 720 flight test operation in Phoenix in early February, 2007. In this clip we anchored a Sony HVR-A1U HD cam to the cabin floor looking out the passenger wing during a take-off from Williams Gateway airport, for the short flight back to PHX on February 8, 2008. Over 16 hours of SD and HD video footage was shot during the visit, which will be released by AirlineHobby.com DVDs during 2007 as a Honeywell 720 Tribute DVD. HD DVDs of this historic aircraft and unique operation will be released in due course. Honeywell's 720 is scheduled for retirement in late 2007.

The world's last two Martin Mars are operated by Coulson Flying Tankers based at Sproat Lake, near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Built just as WWII came to end, the two Mars are highly effective fire fighting aircraft that have worked the BC coast since the late 1950s. Being the world's last operational examples of the great flying boat era, the Mars attract attention everywhere. In January, 2008, Hawaii Mars C-FLYL was based in Vancouver Harbour for the annual Truck Loggers convention held at Canada Place. The Mars flew daily wowing crowds with a water drop right in front of Canada Place attracting extensive media coverage. Airline videographer Henry Tenby had exclusive access and filmed this historic visit using broadcast cameras.

Order this DVD from www.AirlneHobby.com DVDs: In early March, 2011, we were blessed to have RAF VC10 C1K XV104 in Vancouver for a week of maintenance. It was too cold to perform the work in Calgary so the aircraft crew positioned to the warmer climes of Vancouver so the crews could work outside in relative comfort. This is probably the last visit of a VC10 to Vancouver, the last being in August of 2004. In this clip the aircraft is arriving back on stand after going to a remote pad for engine runs. A very special thank you to the RAF and crew of the VC10 for their kind help in making this filming possible. Enjoy the sounds of the Rolls Royce Conway engines! Filmed by Henry Tenby with a Sony HD HVR-A1U, edited in iMovie.
