An ATI DC-8 lands at BWI Airport in Baltimore on Christmas Eve 2010. The jet appears to be wearing a new paint scheme. The wind was really fierce on this day and I tried to minimize the noise in my video editor. Thanks for watching.
The Howard Hughes movie Jet Pilot had excellent flying scenes using Boeing B-29 and F-86 Sabre aircraft. The flying scenes are fantastic and the meat and potatoes footage from this film has been condensed down to 15 minutes of pure flying. For all you F-86 buffs out there, this is enjoyable footage.
It's not just the fighters and bombers that can be fun - here we see a UK operation which not only preserves but operates high performance jet trainers. These are also historically important because they were some of the RAF's first jets. They also have a special starting technique unlike many other aircraft - a cartridge is fired to spool up the turbine. Spectacular.
Fantastic footage of not one, but MULTIPLE TU-104s at Russia's annual air show at Tushino!
The DeHavilland Comet ushered in jet travel in 1952, the TU-104 began the first SUSTAINED jetliner service in 1956.
