Comet fast taxi test at the Bruntingthorpe open day held on May 7, 2005. This Comet named Canopus is an ex DTEO machine and was based at Boscombe Down with the RAE and up until a few years ago could be seen at RIAT at Fairford. She was retired several years ago, and this, the last flying Comet in the world, was retired to Brunty. There is speculation that she is going to fly again soon but dont hold your breath.
