Comet fast taxi test at the Bruntingthorpe open day held on May 7, 2005. This Comet named Canopus is an ex DTEO machine and was based at Boscombe Down with the RAE and up until a few years ago could be seen at RIAT at Fairford. She was retired several years ago, and this, the last flying Comet in the world, was retired to Brunty. There is speculation that she is going to fly again soon but dont hold your breath.

Videographer not known: This is a video of the deHavilland beaver plane crash at Lake Hood in Anchorage AK, on June 7, 2009. The wind kicked up and sent the Beaver taking off right at the videographer. The wing was less than 5 feet over his head, and the radial engine was less than 8 feet to the left of the videographer. The Slow motion at the end gives a little better look at how close it was. Everyone onboard was in pristine condition, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs.
For those wondering what camcorder I use it is a Canon VIXIA HF20
