Order this DVD here: http://henrytenby.com/DVDs/Lingusdvd.html The Aer Lingus promo film "Shamrocks Sky High" played in Irish cinemas along with "The Graduate" to promote the airline’s dedicated and highly trained staff, latest aircraft (Boeing 707s, BAC One Elevens and new 737s), first class maintenance and crew training facilities, cutting edge computer reservation systems, and the development of the Irish travel industry in the go-go days of the booming jet age. This film features plenty of wonderful aircraft footage filmed from Dublin’s packed observation decks, airside, as well as inflight and onboard, and a fair number of lucky Aer Lingus employees appear in the film, which truly counts as an airline history classic to be watched over and over again.

ORDER DVD HERE: http://www.henrytenby.com/DVDs/AirCanada1970s.html The 1970s was an era of transition for Air Canada. The airline retired the last of the very popular Vickers Viscounts, as well as the Vickers Vanguards, and introduced the new widebody Boeing 747 and Lockheed L-1011 Tristar aircraft. These start-of-the-art high capacity airliners truly made travel by air a mass-market phenomena for the travelling public. In this DVD we start out with a very historic film reel filmed by Air Canada's PR department on the occasion of the very last Vickers Viscount service between Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto on April 1, 1974. The film quality is not up to today's standards but to see this footage (filmed mostly on board) is as close to time machine as we're going to experience. We then present early 1970s promotional films made by the airline to introduce the new 747 and L-1011. The L-1011 film is hosted by TV personality of the day Don McGowan, and also features an interview with Air Canada's fleet planning expert Clayton Glen. Also included are a number of 1970s era Air Canada TV adverts that promote the brand new widebody aircraft, services and destinations of the day. Aircraft fans will enjoy the Douglas DC-9 stock footage reels, which includes some very neat air-to-air footage of the baby DC-9. The 1976 aircraft action footage filmed mostly at YVR is the icing on the cake, and features great scenes of Air Canada DC-9s, 747s, Tristars, and DC-8s in glorious action!

Classic Jetliners 1960s DVD http://www.henrytenby.com/DVDs/ClassicJetsdvd.htm In the early 1960s, the world's airlines were transitioning from piston and turboprop aircraft to jet-powered aircraft. The dawn of the golden age of jet travel had arrived and global travel was becoming a mass, worldwide phenomena. Everyone wanted to travel by jet, and the world's airlines promoted their jet services by every means possible, including promotional cine films. This DVD takes the viewer back to that magic age with three period films featuring the three golden jets of the era, the Boeing 707, the Douglas DC-8, and the Convair 880.

ORDER THIS DVD HERE: http://www.henrytenby.com/DVDs/Concordeflighttest.html This 84 minute DVD features promotional films from the era which tell this amazing story, from initial concept, to design, engine test, passenger handling, first flights and flight test during the latter half of the 1960s. Although the film quality is not up to current day standards, the story of the Concorde is truly fascinating, as the aircraft was decades ahead of the competition and to this day, no commercial aircraft has beat the Concorde in terms of speed and productivity for the high yield and highly time sensitive business traveller.
