It is unlikely that ths Video will mean much to you if you do not know the incredible story about this most famous of Vickers Aircraft, and famous aviation photographer and historian, the late Stephen Piercey, who published Propliner Magazine. This Viscount at Brooklands was named in memory of Stephen shortly after his death in an air accident, in 1984. Soon after this, the Viscount was retired and a team of enthusiasts lead by Ray Piercey (Stephen's father), raised funds to rescue and restore the Viscount and preserve her at the Brooklands Museum.
This has now been done and on the fiftieth birthday of its first commercial flight, a group of friends visited Ray and his wife to celebrate.
Its first flight had been London to Barcelona and the Capt. on that first flight had been Ray Piercey. Ray is also the father of the person it was named after, his Son Stephen.
